How to set roles and permissions?

How to assign roles and permissions?

Roles and permissions grants you greater flexibility with restricting or allowing certain actions for users according to their role.

First of all, you need to know that user roles are hierarchical. So Admin has all possible rights, but user roles that are below him can have only equal or less functionality.
This means for ex.: that Sales manager cannot do more than Manager does. And the Manager cannot see more than Admin does. Also if the User does not see the Deals module, first check if the Manager can see that module.

How to create a role?

Navigate to Settings> Users Management > Permissions & Roles > move mouse cursor on Admin field > Press Add role > enter role name in a blank field

How to set permissions?

After creating the role- set permissions that are to correspond with each role. Under the role name you will see 3 blocks:

1. Main Menu- modules

  • By clicking on the square you can enable or disable the visibility of certain section.
  • By clicking on the module title: for ex.: "Deals" you will be able to enable or disable permissions inside certain module.

  • By clicking on the square you can enable or disable the visibility of certain section.
  • By clicking on the section title: for ex.: "Deals settings" you will be able to enable or disable permissions inside certain settings.

3.Extra features- which actions can be performed with extra features.

  • By clicking on the square you can enable or disable the visibility of certain section.
  • By clicking on the section name: for ex.: "Deals" you will be able to enable or disable permissions inside certain module.

How to set user's access & data visibility?

Lastly set up "user access and data visibility" for every user (not for the role). Navigate to Settings > Users management > click on user's name > User access & data visibility > from the drop down menu select which actions you want to allow or restrict for particular user > press "Save" for changes to apply.
